Course Overview

If you are considering a career as a professional pilot, it is one of the most exciting and rewarding of career choices. Aerophile Academy can help you achieve that goal with our state of the art commercial pilot training programme. The Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL) Ground School Training comprises the theoretical knowledge required to fly aeroplanes. The course requires a minimum of Two hundred hours flying time – including solo flight – ending with a skills test with an examiner. The skills test will examine your general handling and navigation skills.

Aerophile Academy offers several ground school packages for PPL and CPL. Individual training is also available if you prefer one-to-one tuition.

If you prefer the one-to-one approach, or if you just need some help with a particular topic, our professional instructors are available for individual tuition sessions when you need extra support. We have intensive revision weeks at our center to consolidate your learning, correct any misunderstandings and prepare you for the exams.

Faq's

  • Be at least 16 years of age at start of the training
  • Shall have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Obtain current class I medical certificate
  • Receive a minimum of 200 hours of flight time including training and solo flight
  • Pass knowledge test as well as the practical test
In order to work as a commercial or airline pilot, you need to obtain a CPL –a commercial pilot licence. Once you have this, you can fly for an airline.
You do not need to have a university degree to obtain a CPL licence.
Each country has its own regulations. India is subject to DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) rules. However, all licences are issued following the international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and there are agreements in place between ICAO member states to allow for the conversion of pilot licences.
For students who are not from Bengaluru and need accommodation during the course, the school offers advisory services to help students find accommodation.
No. The success rate is almost 100%. Most of the concepts are new to students and studying this course requires commitment, but with interest and motivation, you can clear the exams with ease.
