Frequently Asked Questions

Who can join the drone pilot training course?

Anyone above 18 years of age with a basic understanding of English and fitness to operate drones can enroll.

Do I need a license to operate drones after training?

Yes. For commercial operations and to fly any drone in India (except for very specific, low-risk nano categories in uncontrolled airspace), you require a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Our training course is designed to make you thoroughly prepared for the DGCA's requirements and to successfully obtain this mandatory license.

How long is the training program?

Our DGCA-compliant training program is intensive and efficient. The standard course typically runs for 5 to 10 days, covering both the mandatory theoretical knowledge and the hands-on flight training required to qualify for the Remote Pilot Certificate.

What will I learn during the training?

You will gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills as per DGCA guidelines, includingIndian Drone Rules & Regulations, Aeronautical Knowledge, Flight Operations, Safety and Emergency Procedures.

Do you provide job assistance after training?

Yes, we do. We offer strong placement support which includes career guidance, help in building your professional profile, and access to our network of partner companies. These partners operate in sectors like infrastructure monitoring, agriculture, mining, filmmaking, and surveying, where certified drone pilots are in high demand.

What types of drones will I learn to fly?

You will receive hands-on training on a variety of small category industrial drones.

Is the certification valid internationally?

The Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) issued by the DGCA is the official license for operating drones in India. While other countries have their own aviation authorities (like the FAA in the U.S. or EASA in Europe), the core knowledge and skills you learn are universal. Our certification demonstrates a high standard of training and will be a strong foundation if you pursue additional licenses in other countries, which may require a local law examination.

What is the course fee?

The course fee is competitive and covers all essential training materials and practical sessions. For the most accurate and detailed pricing structure, including any available installment plans or discounts, please contact our admissions team directly via the form on this page or call us at +91 91645 79900.

Do I need to bring my own drone for the training?

No, you do not. All necessary drone equipment for the training, including practice drones and DGCA-compliant models for the final flight test, will be provided by the academy. You will have access to all the tools needed to become a proficient pilot.

Is accommodation provided for outstation candidates?

Yes, Aerophile Academy can provide necessary accommodation to the candidates.
